Attending the 2025 Toronto Interior Design Show (IDS) was a huge milestone for Pompous Fox. Since going full-time with the business, I knew this show was the perfect opportunity to showcase what we’re capable of. Our luxury furniture isn’t something you can fully appreciate from a screen—seeing the craftsmanship, materials, and details in person makes all the difference. IDS gave us the chance to connect with designers and show them firsthand what makes our work unique.
Rather than presenting a specific furniture collection, we brought three one-of-a-kind pieces that highlight the possibilities of custom furniture. Our Bent Wood Coffee Table and whisky credenza stole the show, turning heads with their bold designs and intricate craftsmanship. The Whisky Cabinet, featuring an electric lift, sparked a ton of conversations, while the coffee table wowed visitors with its flowing, sculptural form. The third piece, a dining table, was a refined beauty with a split center pedestal and a striking copper leaf inlay around the top.
One of the best parts of the show was finally meeting designers I’ve only ever spoken to through email or social media. Connecting in person made a huge difference, and spending time with Michael London of Michael London Design was definitely a highlight. We’ve worked together before, but this was our first time meeting face-to-face—getting to chat about design in person was a lot of fun.
Beyond showcasing our furniture, IDS was about telling our story. Luxury furniture is about more than just aesthetics; it’s about craftsmanship, intention, and passion. Being able to share the “why” behind our work with designers made the experience even more meaningful.
It was a whirlwind five days—75 hours of non-stop work!—but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. If you couldn’t make it to the show, you can still explore Pompous Fox online. Visit our website, follow us on Instagram, or subscribe to our email newsletter. And if you have a custom project in mind, we’d love to hear from you!
