This 12-foot by 4-foot dining table is crafted entirely from reclaimed beams salvaged from an 1880s print factory in Toronto. Each board carries more than a century of history with saw marks, nail holes, and patina formed through generations of use. These details give the table an authenticity and warmth that cannot be replicated by new lumber. The massive scale of the top showcases the character of the reclaimed wood, creating a striking centrepiece made for large gatherings and dramatic interior spaces.

The defining feature of this piece is the hand-cut dovetail joinery that connects the substantial 10″ x 10″ (254 x 254 mm) legs to the tabletop. These oversized dovetails are both structural and sculptural, showing traditional craftsmanship at a monumental scale. Left proudly visible, the joinery celebrates the table’s construction while grounding the design in timeless woodworking technique. The result is a bold, heirloom-quality table that merges architectural presence with storied materiality.
